Last month, we unveiled our first Worth Meeting About case study. Our author, Claire Repass shared personal examples of how face-to-face meetings have transformed her life and her company.

Next in our series is a case study from Megan Martin, Senior Meeting Manager at National Conference of State Legislatures (NCSL). Megan works on a team that executes more than 90 meetings a year! She is also an MMBC Ambassador and sits on the board for PCMA’s Rocky Mountain Chapter.

“I’ve made a career in the meetings and events industry, helping others better understand their value and business impact. But it’s so much more than that. I’m living proof that meeting face-to-face has far-reaching benefits. I’ve made so many connections attending in-person meetings, conferences and more over the years and I’ve developed relationships that have paid dividends in both my professional and personal life. A few years ago, I decided to change my life, sell almost everything I had and move to Colorado. The network I’d build at industry meetings and events helped me find a job in Denver much faster than I ever anticipated. It was because of these connections and being a part of this industry that I could reach into my network and get that new job so quickly.”
